Stay Strong!‏

Dear Family and Friends,
So much has happened.
So much is happening.
So much will happen.
All I can say is that I’ve never felt the power of the adversary in the world, in missionary work, and back home.
I pray that you all stay strong in the gospel and never loose faith.
Although this is the best time I've ever had on my mission, this is the most I've seen Satan trying to hinder my efforts in helping souls come unto Christ. I've noticed his force in their life especially once they progress in the gospel, somehow a huge problem jumps in their way and hinders them from progressing they way they endeavor to do so.  But of course, I see so many miracles every day as well. Four of our investigators came to church and I can tell they truly felt the spirit and see a difference from when they first enter the chapel and when they leave. It’s a feeling they cannot ignore. The power of the spirit is the only reason Sister Ramada and I have return appointments.
Sister Ramada and I have felt the impression that while we are tracting, we need to seek more families rather than individuals. This week during tracting we will use this prompting and the prompting of the spirit as we are led to where we need to be this week.
I just feel really prompted to say that we should never loose sight of what’s most important- our eternal perspective. I'm stretched more than I thought possible everyday, but it feels so good knowing that every effort made in this work is worth it because the restored gospel is true. I don’t care about the opinion of the world or of man. I know God has a plan for His children and we need to act- not be acted upon. We have agency and we must use it for good. We are not objects to be acted upon when adversity happens. We are to act in righteousness when the powers of Satan try to hinder the efforts of righteousness.
I feel impressed to tell you all to be Bold.

The world is moving quickly and we need to choose a side and stick to it.
I love my mission so much. I adore my mission president and his wife.
Yes, President and Mommy Guanzon are the best around.
They give us missionaries so much strength and hope no matter how hard things seem.
This gospel is true and restored. So stay strong all.
Never give in. The second coming is approaching.
Love,
Sister Delgado
PS: Extra prayers for my family are more than welcomed. Thank you so much to everyone who is taking care and helping them for me. It means the world to me.

Eight. EIGHT.... EIGHT??!!!‏

Hello everyone!!
Wow thank you all so much for you words of encouragement, love, and your beautiful testimonies that you shared with me. It makes me so excited to see so many emails from so many loved ones. I wish I had all the time in the world to express my love for you all indiviudally. But just know that I love you all so much, and wouldn't be who I am without you:)

This week was amazing. Possibly the most amazing week on my mission.
During our district meeting, we talked alot about planning and setting goals and how to use our time proficiently. So Sister Ramada decided that we should set goals for this week that are practical, yet stretchable.

So we decided to plead with the lord to find inspiration on what goals we should set and for His help to achieve them. Long story short, we endeavored to find more appropriate fellowshippers for our progressing investigators, teach 40 lessons this week, and have investigators to come to church.

Sunday night, we truly saw the fruits of our labors and the Lord's hand in our work.
We accomplished 40 lessons, worked with members every single day, and EIGHT investigators came to church: The Gonzales and Obligado family.

EIGHT. EIGHT. EIGHT!

They all came and the Gonzalez family stayed for all three meetings!! The ward members were so kind and gave such great lessons. It was hilarious because our gospel essentials class was the hugest its ever been in months! The teacher wanted to go home and cry because of how huge the class was. It was such a glorious Sunday and it was all because of the Lord. How greatful I am to be His servant and stretch myself in ways I never knew possible.

I love the Ward Members of Legazpi so much and love working with them. They are such a joy and I love my companion sister Ramada dearly. And yes, The STL's Sisters Jemino and Dizon and the best.

I love missionary work so much and love where I am.
The gospel is true.
Seeing the change and joy it brings to families makes every sacrifice worth it.
After all, it is the least that can be done for He who sacrificed all.

love you all,
Sister Delgado

Life in Legazpi

Family and Friends.

36 new investigators in one week.
42 of them with baptismal dates.
35 lessons in one week.

These are a few of the key indicators that Sister Ramada and I achieved this week. I'm not suggesting that I am all about numbers, but what I want to express is that missionary work, with the help of the Lord is more than achievable. Within the last 4 weeks of opening our area here in Legazpi we now have over 50 investigators in total and all found through our own efforts.

At this point, I'm just trying to sink in everything that has happened within the last 4 weeks to me here in Legazpi. This is it. This is the area where I'm honestly needed the most. I feel it, and the work produced shows as well. I'm in awe with the Lord has privledged me in companion to be His instruments in finding these people and how these people are changing me and Sister Ramada's lives as well. Sister Ramada see miracles every single day here in Legazpi. I love this city so much and enjoy every conversation I have with people.

Normally most missionaries hate tracting, especially the new ones because you have to gain so many different people's trust with in the first few seconds of meeting them and then convince them to an extent that the message you lay in your hands will help them change their lives and come closer to Christ. But Sister Ramada and I love it so much! In fact, that's all we want to do! haha. A lot happens within the first few moments of meeting new people and praying simultaneously that they will become new investigators. But through much experience of tracting for hours and inviting everyone we can to come unto Christ, we have seen so many miracles. I dont feel lost, I know the Lord is with us withersoever we goest.
Sister Ramada and I have decided that even if people dont accept our message or let us in, its so fun to just meet people, get to know them, learn what is their story, and develop Christlike love for them within seconds.

Had I not served in Gubat, I know I would have taken all these miracles casually. Had Sister Padre not been my trainer, I wouldnt know how to love the way Christ would have His children love. Everything that has happened to me here is all because the Lord intended it to be that way.

I so enjoy working with the ward members in Legazpi and developing friendships with them all. I love Legazpi ward and cherish those who give their time to the missionaries to fellowship our investigators.  Nothing is more rewarding than seeing your investigators progress in the gospel and come to church. I know there's so much the Lord has need for me to do and I'm so excited to JUST DO IT!
I remember the feeling I felt when I first got to Legazpi from the plane before I headed from Gubat 5 months ago. I cant describe it other than Legazpi being MY area. As i've prosleyted and stretched myself in building our teaching pool here with my companion, I've become absloutely fearless and see the great potential here in Legazpi. I know one day, a temple will be built here. Its a dream the members have, and its not crazy at all. It's all so possible with the Lord's help and our willingness to do His work.

I love the Lord so much and know every single thing that has happened to me here is all in His will. I cannot deny that.

I love Legazpi and the people and my companion and my kabahay so much!!!!!

Have a great week all and never forget an attitude of gratitude! <3

Loving Legazpi

Kumusta Fam and friends!!!

This week has yet again been full of miracles.
Chealsea Gonzlez, our 10 year old investigator went to church for a second time again! She's literally the cutest little Filipina and I wish she was mine! haha. She loves coming to church and singing the songs and going to primary. I'm just amazed that we found this little family and that they have such a desire to have the influence of the church in their lives- especially Chealsea. Chel's grandpa said that she put together a little purse with notebooks, pencils, and her Book of Mormon, and she wouldn't stop wearing it for like 3 days until it was time for church on Sunday. My goodness!!! We actually took her and her little sister to a baptism at the church and she told me she was so jealous because she wanted to be baptized so bad in that moment! hahaha. This little girl I know will make such a difference for her family, and with time her family will desire to become members just like Chealsea. I adore this little girl so much.

Another miracle that happened to me and Sister Ramada was when we were looking for some less actives in our area. Because we're opening another area here, we have to find the less actives in our area and incorporate them in our teaching pool. I learned a number of things while trying to find them. The biggest thing I learned is that I am terrible at directions. Didn't take long for me to realize that one. lol

But the miracle that happened on Cruzada Street is that while trying to find these homes for about an hour and a half, we met an old lady, Dolly. She was walking home by herself, and it was late. She was so cute and kept telling us how good her life was even though she was walking home alone. So Sister Ramada and I decided to walk her home and hold her bags for her. Her house was a long ways away!! But during the time of walking home, I learned a lot about her. Her family, where shes from, what she wants from life. And eventually as we got to her home, we were about to leave, but she insisted that we come inside. Yes, Filipinos are the most hospitol people you'll meet. They're so nice and sweet and willing to let you in even if they dont know you!

We asked if we could share a message with this sweet little lady and she accepted. At the end of the lesson this sweet little lady accepted the invitation to be baptized and to come to church.

Ever since I got transferred to Legazpi I no longer believe in coincidences. No matter what outcomes may happen in life, coincidences are out of the question.

I love my new area so much and I love even more the people I meet everyday. I'm learning how to be a better listener and share with them how the gospel can help their lives, no matter what happened to them. The gospel of Jesus Christ will never fail, and it will always help people's lives improve for the better.

Tomorrow, I am 6 months into my mission. Meaning one year left.
Now I'm starting to really wonder where time has gone.
But more than ever, I'm so grateful for my mission.
Nothing, nothing, nothing is more fulfilling than what I am doing right now.
I have no regrets with deciding to answer the call to serve.
It's a beautiful feeling to know the Lord is helping you change and is utilizing you to help others come unto Christ.

There's no where, no place, or no one iId rather be that Sister Delgado serving in Legazpi, Philippines speaking crazy Tagalog and helping anyone within my reach.

Thank you all so much for your love and support. It means the world to me!

mahal ko kayo!
